No I am not good with photoshop!!
I don't have a clue what these can do or are ment to do. Maybe mr. Deboichet is trying to push limits, or he is just trying fooling some guys. A lot of work for a joke... This fin (beside the little foil) looks to me as a Deboichet SL4
Some short thoughts
- Maybe he is looking for more surface vs lenght?
- a better momentum?
- maybe like the mirrors of a f1-car... optimilisation of flow in extreme conditions
- ...
Still I think it is a 'late' 1 April joke, does anyone know more?

Hey Robert,
For speedsurfing I don't see any advantages, even if the flow is 100% optimized in front of the leading edge.
It has to be a practical advantage like more power in lightwind for bigger sails on smaller boards? I guess with good testing this fin hasn't have any chance against a good "normal" fin, but we will see...

Well, just my 2 cents:
Aircraft wings have front flaps that allow air to flow between the flap and the main wing. This is used for landing. It prevents stalling. So yes, it will work at low speed to prevent stall/spin-out. But probably not usefull for more topspeed.
