When the wind doesn't show up...

You can always enjoy nature, last friday 04-10-09 I was on 't Kuitje. This is a hardcore speedspot, many dangerous sandbanks. Few flat water spots, but all very short runs with limited space to break.

But last friday the wind didn't showed up in strenght also the winddirection was 30 degrees to broad. Together with Peter de Wit and Marcel Braas we didn't sail much. After 3 times making a 10sec run of 27kn I chose to relax& chill on the muddy sandbank in the sun.

I guess it comes with older age, before I never really could enjoy the view, sun, etc. Just only needed wind for a good day.

Respect nature,

Erik

Hi Eric,
I hope those Seals don't head out into the speed strip! I thought we had marine life to worry about!
Cheers
Tim

Hi Tim,

Most speedspots are near shore, so we only see about 2-3 seals.

We are lucky the windsurfer is quite loud @ the speeds we are sailing. So the seals won't cross you in a downwind run.

Cheers,

Erik
