Drie keer is scheepsrecht!! this is a dutch saying it ments, after 3 times badluck you will have good luck. My first 2 times of bad luck was because I work now regular in Rotterdam, this is often to far with all trafic jams to get on time @ the Brace, this way I missed two 80kmh AVG opportunities.
Monday I choose to surf, but I felt not that good, the night before I was awake due stomach flu. Still I just wanted sooo bad to have a fast session, I decided to surf and hoped the flu wouldn't be so bad...
Afterwards it wasn't smart at all, I had very little TOW due a very bad condition. I wasn't even able to sail a 5.5 properly. Now (wednesday) I feel a little bit better and can actually do some stuff on the computer.
Yesterday (tuesday) Jaqcues van der Hout and Dirk-Jan Knol broke the 80kmh average, congrats!!! Next time with good conditions I hope it is also my day.
Other News, Jurjen van den Noord changes sponsors. He was sailing HTS/Loftsails/www.plankenenzeilen.nl but now he will be sailing Starboard/Severne/www.surfcenter.nl, I hope you will go even faster than before!
Most important I am ready for all conditions till 25-28kn, most sessions this year have proven me to be fast enough for competition. That is the positive side. Let's hope someday soon I will be able to tune up my highwind gear for 35-40kn.
Cheers,
Erik
